History of Hatboro Beverages              

Hatboro Beverages, family owned and operated for over 50 years, was founded on January 9th 1959 by Heinz Taubenberger.  Heinz owned the store until 1986 when his nephew, Bertram Gottbrecht, became a partner in the business. On January 1,1995 Bert became the sole owner of Hatboro Beverages and continues to run the business.  Heinz, now 82, comes four to five times a week and is still a vital part of the business.             

Hatboro Beverages’ knowledgeable staff is passionate about beer and committed to providing the customer with the best service possible.  Mike Piccinini, the General Manager, exemplifies fifteen years of commitment to customer service, educating the consumer and seeking out new products for the store.  Recently, Hatboro Beverages has added a new member to the staff, Steve Malagari.  Steve, who is an avid home brewer and beer enthusiast, provides Hatboro Beverages with an extensive knowledge of beer and the brewing process to convey to the customer.   

Over the past five decades the focus of the business has changed from a small scale retail distributor, to a successful service based distributor that specializes in one of the largest draft, micro and import beer selections in Southeastern Pennsylvania.  Progressing into our sixth decade of business, Hatboro Beverages looks forward to providing our customers with another 50 years of high quality beer and service.
